Certain neighborhoods have construction nearby, limited retail options close by, and roads that are still catching up to the population growth. It is getting better every year but if you are used to a fully built out city it can take some adjustment.
Dining and entertainment options in Herriman are more limited compared to cities like Draper or South Jordan. Mountain View Village shopping center has helped significantly but if you eat out frequently or want walkable nightlife options Herriman is not there yet.
Wind can be a factor in certain elevated neighborhoods. The bench areas near Herriman Hills and South Hills can get significant gusts coming off the mountains. It is worth asking about wind exposure when you tour homes in those areas.
